Key points:

– VIP Play has received approval to renew its Tennessee Sports Gaming Operator Licence through May 2026

– The renewal coincides with the launch of the new VIP Play mobile betting app, which offers betting on over 200 leagues

– Expansion into additional US markets, including West Virginia, is expected later in 2025

VIP Play has renewed its sports gaming operator licence in Tennessee, following approval by the Tennessee Sports Wagering Council on 13 May. The approval allows the company to continue offering mobile sports betting services in the state through to May 2026.

The licence renewal aligns with the launch of the company’s newly developed VIP Play app, which officially debuted in Tennessee on 12 May.

The mobile application offers wagering options across more than 200 leagues and includes a variety of bet and parlay types.

Good to know: This represents the company’s second successful licence renewal in Tennessee, where it initially entered the regulated market under the ZenSports brand

VIP Play’s recent activities form part of a broader strategy to extend its presence across the US, with West Virginia identified as the next market targeted for expansion later this year.

The latest developments follow VIP Play’s appointment of Daniel Goldstein as Chief Technology Officer in December 2024. Goldstein, formerly of Western Union and Qenta, was brought on to lead the technical development of the VIP Play app. His hiring came shortly after VIP Play partnered with Kambi Group to integrate sportsbook technology into its offering.

Bruce Cassidy, CEO and Chairman of VIP Play: “We are delighted with early feedback on the new VIP Play app and look forward to providing Tennessee customers with the latest innovations in sports betting.”
